Sobre el libro The devil raises his own de Scott Philipps publicado por Bedford Press al 2025:

A masterful Western noir set in 1916 Hollywood, The Devil Raises His Own dives into the dark origins of the film industry. Photographer Bill Ogden runs a portrait studio on the fringes of seedy Los Angeles, joined by his granddaughter Flavia, fleeing her violent past. As the shadowy "blue movie" scene thrives, a string of grisly murders pulls them into a web of danger and deceit. A gripping noir thriller with unforgettable characters, it´s Boogie Nights meets The Big Sleep in the era of silent films and early Hollywood.
