Microeconomics. A Critical Companion

Sobre el libro Microeconomics. A Critical Companion de Ben Fine publicado por Pluto al 2016:

In this book, Ben Fine brings to bear his 40 years of experience as an active political economist across teaching, research and policy advice to offer students clear and concise exposition of a number of aspects of mainstream microeconomics from a critical perspective. He does so by covering technical material whilst also setting the emergence and evolution of microeconomics in both a historical and interdisciplinary setting. Topics covered include consumer and producer theory, competition, labour markets, general equilibrium and capital theory. Boxes of text are used to clarify technical and other issues that often confuse students. Whilst there are many microeconomic texts that provide model after model, this book is unique in also critically exposing the methodological and conceptual content of such models. It is pitched at a level that will engage those completing a first degree in economics or entering postgraduate study.
