This book covers the entire period of the invention of photography to the present day, through a transversal and thematic ensemble that will enhance the flagship photographic works as well as those that could become so. The opportunity will also be to celebrate the great players of the discipline, of yesterday and today. The selected authors, recognized for their knowledge, their height of view and their qualities of transmission, have carte blanche to show their points of view on the invention and the constant reinvention of photography, the writing of a common history allowed by this medium for two hundred years, expanding the representations of the geographical, scientific, artistic or social world. This book is thus conceived as manifesto and commitment and as an impetus for future research, inscribed in today and tomorrow
